Do teachers actually make a difference to society?

In my opinion, teachers do make a difference to society. Because after family members, teachers are the people who shape the children and help them grow. Thus, the way they approach an infant and their attitudes towards to them, what they teach and how they teach is very important. Because children never forget about their teachers, both good ones and the bad ones. A teacher can be rude, abusive and violent and that makes a child become wild or timid which are the kind of people society doesn't like. But a teacher can be positive, optimistic and energetic and help his students become more like himself, more creative, confident and well-mannered. People who the society accepts and loves. And this kids most probably become individuals with high goals and ambitious to reach them, people who contribute the public.

It's all about teacher's behaviours in class. If you show the kids you believe in them and help them become more confident, you surely add another contributing member to society and make a difference in positive way. In the other hand you might as well treat them as little rats and show no respect to them as persons, you might cause society to lose members who maybe were going to be very good for it, but you killed it.

So actually we can say that teachers are the people who decide to (choose the people who will) make a difference to society in the way they want.
